The Journal of Public and International Affairs, now entering its 28th year, is an academic journal publishing the exceptional work of graduate students in U.S. domestic policy, international relations, development studies, and economic policy.
Graduate and professional students from APSIA schools are encouraged to submit policy papers and articles on contemporary issues. JPIA seeks pieces that are not only outstanding in their research quality but also include specific policy recommendations.
Selections have been made for the 28th edition of the journal. Submissions for the 29th edition will begin in Fall 2017.
Contributions must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document to email@example.com. Please include a cover sheet with your submission that contains your contact information (including name, school, program and degree of study, expected date of graduation, e-mail address, and phone number). No identifying information should be elsewhere on the paper. Your file should be named as follows: Last name_Your school. All published papers will be required to use Chicago Manual of Style citations.
Policy Papers (longer submissions) should be approximately 6,000 words, including endnotes and bibliography.
Policy Articles (shorter submissions) should be approximately 1,500 words, including endnotes and bibliography.
Final selections will be made during the month of February, and authors will be notified of the status of their submissions shortly thereafter.
