Submissions

Now accepting submissions for the 2019 edition of the JPIA! 

The Journal of Public and International Affairs, now entering its 30th year, is an academic journal publishing the exceptional work of graduate students in U.S. domestic policy, international relations, development studies, and economic policy.

Graduate and professional students from APSIA schools are encouraged to submit policy papers and articles on contemporary issues. JPIA seeks pieces that are not only outstanding in their research quality but also include specific policy recommendations.

PAPER GUIDELINES/CRITERIA:

Eligibility
You must be currently enrolled as a student at an APSIA member school (Click here for APSIA Member Directory)

Contributions must be submitted using this form. Please submit your personal particulars through the form and upload your submission as a Word Doc or PDF. Your file should be named as follows: LastName_SchoolName. No identifying information should be included within the paper. For example, names of the author, author, coauthors and advisors, as well as, your school should not appear anywhere in the document

All published papers will be required to use Chicago Manual of Style citations. For any queries, please write to jpia@princeton.edu.
The deadline to submit is December 21, 2018 11:59 PM 

Policy Papers (longer submissions)  should be approximately 6,000 words, including endnotes and bibliography.
Policy Articles (shorter submissions)  should be approximately 1,500 words, including endnotes and bibliography.

Final selections will be made during the month of February, and authors will be notified of the status of their submissions shortly thereafter.
